Dream catchers were first crafted by the Native Americans, they were made to protect the sleeper from negative dreams whilst letting the positive dreams through. The happy dreams would slip through the holes in the dream catcher, slowly glide down the feathers and then into the person asleep below. The good dreams are said to glide so softly, that the person asleep may not even be aware that they are dreaming! The bad dreams are said to perish in sunlight, while the good dreams are absorbed by the person who sleeps under the dream catcher. They make a great gift for people with sleep related problems, and are wonderful hung above children's beds to help banish the monsters that haunt their dreams.
